Andy Spence’s review published on Letterboxd:
Of all the zombie movies I have seen....this is one of them.
There's lots of things I love and lots of things I don't. I wouldn't normally get hung up on story in something like this but there's at least one reveal that I'm pretty sure shoots the entire plot in the foot. There's good little character moments but then the end happens and it's like a mad dash to wrap it all up.
That being said, as someone who is sick of zombies....this was fun. Uneven as hell, too long, doesn't stick the landing, and some of those trademark "too obvious" Snyder song choices really are TOO obvious....but there was still fun in there. I think Bautista does a great job carrying the movie and the concept alone is a great enough idea to warrant a watch.
