45. Monsters (Vampire, Werewolf, Kaiju, etc.)

I don't know much about Godzilla, but I do know this was awesome.

The monster design is so weird, but works perfectly for the way the plot progresses. This is one where I would recommend not reading too deeply into the reviews or even looking at images from the film before watching so as to enhance the experience. I will say there is a heavy focus on the bureaucratic process as government officials scramble to subdue the monster attack. This is all really well done and surprisingly easy to follow, despite the rapidly changing pool of government officials and locations, but I'm sure some may not find it so captivating. Also, the music was so good!!!

This definitely got me excited to watch more from the massive Godzilla catalog. Having previously only seen Godzilla (2014) and the most recent King of the Monsters, I'll be planning a journey back to the 1954 original soon!
