20. Made in Spain
Familial grief and religious fanaticism are at the center of this slow burn thriller about an agoraphobic woman and her younger sister. Their troubled home life is further complicated when a handsome neighbor seeks refuge in their apartment after taking a tumble down the stairs.
I was totally captivated while watching this, but sadly when I reflect back it loses something. The actions, or lack thereof, taken by the younger sister just don't make sense to me. However, it's so well acted and delivers enough gruesome entertainment that I can't help but give it a positive review despite its flaws.
