Marcel the Shell with Shoes On 2021

Might've liked this even more the second time. Instantly to the top of my favorite comfort watches.

Plus picked up on the Nathan Fielder cameo this time 😍

    Top Gun: Maverick 2022

    Watched by actor123 27 May 2022

Left the movie exactly halfway through. Usually don't log when I only watch parts of movies but that's always been at home and here I actually went to the dang IMAX first. But I had a headache and the movie was a (fun) load of clichés and bad dialogue, so I left early and now I'm wondering one thing- Can I rate it? And can I rate it begs the eternal Dear Evan Hansen question- when you're falling in a…

Spielberg knows how to get you invested in a story and make something fun, there's no denying that even if does have that awful ending.

not as unwatchable as some of her other films, but I can name very few directors with more mediocre filmographies than Nancy Meyers

    So much fun

Cage and Pascal are both perfection.

    Ambulance 2022

    Watched by actor123 05 Apr 2022

This was ridiculously dumb and painfully awful in a way only Michael Bay could achieve. Can't believe my audience kept clapping for these insanely unlikeable protagonists who lack redeeming qualities, moral complexities or even basic motivations.

Also interesting read about Jake Gyllenhaal

  • The Bubble

    The Bubble 2022

    Watched by actor123 02 Apr 2022

I didn't seem to hate this as much as a lot of people. Sure it's got more characters than it knows what to do with, and the way the story unfolds is muddled and unfocused, but it's stupid and doesn't shy away from being stupid, and the cast is absolutely phenomenal all around. There's some nicely fleshed out characters and an intriguing narrative, even if both end up wasted by the end. It's not great by any stretch of the…

Emma Mackey, Tom Bateman, Kenneth Branagh, Sophie Okonedo and Annette Bening are all excellent here.
