Perhaps this film is important historically and culturally, but I just couldn’t get past the insufferable stupidity of both teenagers and parents in 1950s America. How the hell did anyone make it past this decade? Rebel Without A Cause is a bit too melodramatic throughout and strangely preachy in its climax for my taste, but I’m so glad this movie basically gave us Tommy Wiseau’s The Room. This is my first time seeing James Deann or Sal Minou in anything though, they both seemed promising, what a pity their careers ended so quickly.
