Friday the 13th Part III 1982
Noticed the following
Suspiria, the Shining & Psycho homages. The psycho one is particularly neat in retrospect as it comes directly after Jason acquires his machete and mask, thus finally becoming the iconic image of horror cinema we know. It then cuts straight into a lady in a shower, another famed image from horror cinema. As if Jason is stepping wholly into the classic horror canon by then performing a classic horror kill. This is of course retroactively speaking… or did they know?
