Mostly a mess but the final scene with babe Tilda and surprisingly great Peter Stormhare devil is good enough for an extra star and a half.

We Need to Talk About Kevin 2011
My God Lynne Ramsay rocks. She knows better than most that it isn’t just the story, it’s how you decide to tell it as well as what to omit.
So much of the film is figuring out what happened, and why, based on your perception of the intimate moments between the members of the family, primarily Eva and Kevin. Some of the events are bigger than others, but Ramsay paints them with the same brush and allows you to decide which colors shine the brightest.
