About 10 minutes in to this me and my brother turned to each other and said, "this is going to be a masterpiece isn't it".
Turns out it was exactly that.

What a start to 2022, something new and bright setting the precedent for future projects, and topping 2021 as what is easily my favourite release. From the first 10 minutes alone this film challenges you to embrace something new, with striking imagery being put in your face, laying the way for what is to come. Almost saying get onboard or get off.
A study in to love and hate, sex and blood, gender and fluidity. For something so bold and…
Timeless action spy film, with brilliant set-pieces and a immaculate score to accompany.
Is it bad to say I prefer the Mission Impossible franchise over James Bond?
Had a really good time with this, especially during the fight scenes which were well choreographed and placed throughout the film. They did however go on for a little too long towards the end, to the point I was lacking any conviction towards the characters and stakes. The lack of character development wasn't a major issue, especially when the picture delivers on what's promised, fighting and more fighting.
A masterstroke in storytelling and world building. One of Speilberg's best and most overlooked films. From the offset the moral ambiguity of the central themes are thrown in to question, and the film explores this thoroughly, with the conclusion being intriguing and satisfying. Every time Tom Cruise runs in a movie a tear is shed from my eye.
This was a painful watch. One star for a single joke that made me laugh, the rest of the runtime I was sat there questioning my existence.
Starting to think Netflix deserves the downfall, especially where they are pushing stuff out like this.
