I’ll always appreciate how this franchise started so uniquely from its counterparts.
Wonder Woman really embraces what I believe are the pillars of the DC Universe; hope, heroism and optimism. It has charm, particularly from its two leads, Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. They play off each other very well, especially Gadot, who really is a fish out of water in this film. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a return to form. It may not be as good as Star Wars (1977) or The Empire Strikes Back (1980), but it's the Star Wars film we've been waiting over 30 years for. It beautifully encapsulates everything we've come to love about our favorite galaxy far, far away, while introducing us to great new characters played by Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver. Most importantly, we're home.
