The Kid Who Would Be King ★★½

While its messages of unity amidst a most divided Europe and of the resiliency of children are important and relevant, the rest of the film feels rote and telegraphed, even if it is charming and earnest. For Adam Johnson, it's a 2.5/5, but I think it would be an easy 4 for kids - strongly recommended for families looking for a new movie they can enjoy together, but not a can't-miss of 2019 for anyone else, unless they want to discuss Brexit through the lens of King Arthur.
