    I can't believe my 13 year-old 1995 self missed this when it came out because I would have lapped it up like a starving cat to a bowl of milk. I definitely place Strange Days on the holy pedestal of the best 90's cyberpunk films along with Twelve Monkeys, The Matrix, eXistenZ, and Dark City.

    I liked this so much more than I thought I would and I was very apprehensive and skeptical of the HFR but found that it was seamless and worked great with the film.

    Maybe I've just seen the LOTR trilogy so many times (and also knew so little about The Hobbit story) that this film seemed so much more free of the plot conventions of the LOTR films that sometimes seemed to drag them down a bit.
