    I liked this so much more than I thought I would and I was very apprehensive and skeptical of the HFR but found that it was seamless and worked great with the film.

    Maybe I've just seen the LOTR trilogy so many times (and also knew so little about The Hobbit story) that this film seemed so much more free of the plot conventions of the LOTR films that sometimes seemed to drag them down a bit.

    The Wachowski siblings never fail to amaze me. This movie was SO dense and needs a re-watch or 12 to really absorb and understand it all. I mean shit, it's nearly 3 hours long. The story is captivating as is the cinematography. Sign me up for that blu-ray pre-order!
