Ten men go out to eat. The restaurant is out of eggs. Everybody dies.
It’s a good looking movie, but otherwise generic and poorly edited. Almost as if the filmmakers believed a western with two female protagonists excused it from the necessity of being good.
The whole tone reminds me of someone retelling a hilarious joke but misremembering how to tell it properly. The humor is in there somewhere, but it’s lost on the storyteller and as it is, it’s flat and awkward and should just should never have happened.
I had fond memories of this. I first saw it in a theater on its 25th anniversary and lost a tooth during it. Re-watching it again, it's possibly Disney's most overrated, worst-looking, and unfocused "classic."
• First off, who is the protagonist of this movie? Pongo? Roger? The dalmatian puppies? There are long stretches of time where none of these characters are on screen. Name another Disney movie in which the protagonist isn't clear.
