This is Jim Cummings’ show as the writer/director/star, and he mostly sticks the landing. Best of all is Cummings’performance: idiosyncratic, often hilarious, and brimming with pathos. The movie never surpasses its first 12 minutes (the opening sequence is a revised version of a short film of the same name) but doesn’t overstay its welcome. Bravo.
