This movie has turned me against unnecessary true stories committed to film. Was it REALLY necessary to make the events that occurred at Foxcatcher Farm in 1996 into a film? I don't think so and really, there was barely enough content for a movie here. Channing Tatum wrestles for an hour, we skirt around the story of him living in his brother's shadow, enter Steve Carrell who turns in a fantastic performance and enter Mark Ruffalo who is almost a moot point except when it comes time for his character to be assassinated at the end. It was all so pointless and while everything else was good (acting, score, camera work, direction), the film just seemed to not have enough material to make up a whole movie.
