A genius work of art and one of the best horror films ever made. How nobody was able to appreciate it when it came out is mind-boggling to me. A perfect resolution/prequel to Twin Peaks and the most horrific portrayal of incest and abuse ever put to film; yet all of the pain and horror is worth getting to the ending. It's a film that takes you through darkness in order to see the light.
