Having seen the trailer I knew this looked like good fun, but it was a very on a whim watch. But I had even more fun than I was expecting.
A good, strong cast in a film of this kind always is a big seller and everyone plays their roles well. I thought the setting was used well, the script (while cheesy at times) was good fun and I genuinely started to love some of these characters.
Mad fight scenes and some good chuckles too made this all in all a good Sunday watch.

    Coming Home in the Dark

Had this on the watchlist for awhile after someone had recommended it in a film group.
Really enjoyed this - well, I guess enjoyed isn't really the right word - but this was a very well made film with some stunning visuals, fuck loads of tension and some very good performances. Especially that of Daniel Gillies as Mandrake, his cold, psychopathic performance was definitely a highlight.
Doesn't stick around too long and keeps up the tension right until the final moments. Good watch.

Where the fuck did Jeff Goldblum get all those baboons from.

A quite amazing film, the prosthetics and make up are pretty incredible.
Jeff Goldblum is class - both before transition and after fly transtition. I particularly enjoyed how he kept his sense of humour even close to the end. Despite who he was becoming, he still felt human.
Not a whole lot to say that probably hasn't already been said.
Just need to watch more Cronenberg films now for sure.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

I was mad for Attack Of The Clones when I was a kid, and rewatching as an adult I can see why.
More badass jedi fights than we saw in the first one, more wondrous planets to explore and a relatively gripping story.
CGI is a step up from Phantom Menace and while I feel the story of this isn't maybe as good as Phantom Menace, I still have a good time. Almost forgot how badass the Yoda / Dooku scrap is - class.
Anakin being a lil bitch is proper annoying though, like god shut the hell up man. A slight gripe.
