Adi Mocanu’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is, hands down, the most over-looked, under-rated film of the past decade. Nicholas Cage's performance is one of his best ever and Alison Lohman's is a revelation. Ridley Scott demonstrates that he is capable of hitting one out of the park in any genre in which he chooses to work.
The story, meanwhile, is engaging and the plot twist at the end is thoroughly endearing. This is not a "great" film but it's a darned entertaining one. Movie historians will one day be scratching their heads, wondering how a film of this caliber could be so widely ignored.
