I know I’m a little late when it comes to Bo Burnham’s specials. I only watched What. and Make Happy yesterday. However, while I was watching this, I felt so close to him. This kind of connection that feels so impossible to form in just a day. This new special (if you can even call it that) is not only one of, if not the most impressive pieces of media to have been made during the pandemic, but it’s also an honest, painful, and deeply important piece of art about a man who is trying to stay sane, at a time where it feels impossible to do so. I laughed, I cried, and I cried some more. Now I’m sitting down trying to take it all in. Really great stuff Bo, really great.
