It’s perfect. It’s just so damn perfect.
I love this movie so much. I really do. I am so glad I rewatched it tonight. Everything hit so much harder this time around and I can not express how much I love this movie. Naomi Watts and Laura Harring’s performances are some of the best I’ve ever seen, the screenplay is great, Lynch’s direction is fantastic like always and every single aspect is perfect. Angelo Badalamenti’s score is horrifying and beautiful and the soundtrack is amazing. Each song fits the tone of each scene so perfectly and it is genuinely insane how beautiful this film is. The Diner scene is cold and terrifying, and the Club Silencio scene is one of my favorites from the whole film. The ending left me out of breath and completely silent all the way until after the credits finished. I don’t know, it’s just a whole different experience the second time around.
I can confidently say this is my favorite film of all time. Not only that, but one of the best and most unique movies ever made.
