A horror movie that even people who aren’t fans of the genre will love.
Clever, self aware, hilariously meta, absolutely genius stuff. Yeah, I’m pretty damn late to the party on this one but that seems to be the case with me for a lot of horror classics. Slashers really aren’t my thing if I’m being honest but this was clearly much more than that. It’s fresh, original, timeless and doesn’t take itself too seriously while at the same time having a perfectly balanced tone. Plus, the opening scene is masterful and one of my favorites in a horror movie.
Matthew Lillard should’ve been in every horror movie from the 90s.
