Ah yes, a cheesy high school comedy with constant narration from the main character, witty dialogue and an incredibly unrealistic portrayal of high school directed by a guy named Will Gluck. A damn 2010 classic if I’ve ever seen one.
Every dad should aspire to be as happy-to-be-alive and cool as the one Stanley Tucci plays here. Take notes.
Fuck, this is great. Really great. First hour or so is kind of just really perfect filmmaking. Sort of loses it’s momentum a bit after that but not enough for it to ruin the film in any type of way, because all around this is really damn excellent.

Heavy stuff. Didn’t expect this one to hit so hard but damn am I glad it did. Still feel like even after 3 years this has completely flew under so many people’s radars. Hell, even I’m watching it for the first time now. all over his face, getting his toe shot off whilst being chased by the police and eventually escaping was the craziest thing I had ever seen as a 10 year old.
8 years later and I have yet to see anything crazier. Nothing comes close.
My movie game has been pretty bad lately because I’ve just been so damn busy but I think watching this helped revive my love for film a little bit. I didn’t love it, I think it’s very confused on what it wants to be most of the time, but I’d be lying to your face if I said it wasn’t quite the ride, because well— it really was quite the ride.

Oozing with style in every single frame. A lot more odd and surreal than I expected but I loved it. Also, was that a nod to The Tell-Tale Heart at the end? That final scene rocks so damn hard.
Woke up this morning and decided today will be the day I finally watch Jurassic Park.
Then I proceeded to watch the new Beavis and Butt-Head movie (I have priorities).
BUT I did indeed watch Jurassic Park after and yeah It’s a good movie, who woulda thought. Not sure why I hadn’t seen it till now but we’re all trying to catch up with something one way or another. Gonna do myself a favor and skip out on the sequels though, this was enough dinosaurs for me.
God did I miss these two dill weeds…
