Andrew Dodderidge’s review published on Letterboxd:
The year of 2016 is saving the comedy genre, and this film is a prime example. I had no idea what Hunt For The Wilderpeople was going to be like going in and I am so glad I didn't. Not only is this one of the funniest films of the year, but a film about two people that are in need of each other at this moment in time. Waititi does a great job of making you care deeply about the two main characters and it makes the rest of the film feel like a joy to watch. Watch out for the church scene, as well as the bush-man scene. They will be ingrained in my mind for a very long time.
