Adrian’s review published on Letterboxd:
'It's strange calling yourself.'
If there has ever been a movie, which blew my mind, then this is the one.
David Lynch's Mulholland Drive is everything and nothing. It's constantly tangling between reality and nightmare, leading its viewer onto a road which leads to another road which finally leads anywhere. Or nowhere. Its characters are like parts of a puzzle, which the viewer doesn't have a description of but still has to put every single piece together to get a clear view. Once the final credits were rolling, I was baffled but equally fascinated. This will be a sleepless night for me, I guess, because of course, I have to find my own interpretation for this movie.
More thoughts to come after a rewatch, but I'll leave you with this:
Was Mulholland Drive the greatest movie I have ever seen?
Was Mulholland Drive the most mind-blowing experience I have ever had?
- Without a doubt
