i feel like bo would hate me for saying this but i do think he’s one of the smartest and most well spoken people working today and it always amazes me how he puts that into his work (i was listening to his interview w/ pete holmes on pete’s podcast and he elaborates more on late night hosts/the end of culture) & every time i watch him perform im just in awe of what im seeing so yikes @myself for getting so sappy but bo is one of the best writers and performers working today and i hope he never stops
an incredibly important film made about racism in the 1960s which is still relevant today when discussing white supremacy and the confederate flag? it MUST have won best picture! oh it lost? to what? that movie about michael keaton being an asshole?
well it was masterfully directed by ava duvernay, a woman of color in an industry dominated by white men, she must have won something— what? she wasn’t even nominated? THE GUY WHO DID FOXCATCHER WAS?
FUCK man well at least david oyelowo won—nope nevermind
at least he was nominated for— SON OF A
ah, yes. meryl streep's role as "meryl streep in another mediocre dramady" was much more deserving of an oscar nomination than amy "i carried this movie on my own two shoulders" adams. because florence foster jenkins will be remembered for much longer than arrival. at least she got nominated for nocturnal animals OH WAIT
