This was one of my most highly anticipated films of all time. One of those where I would watch and rewatch the trailers. The film released and I loved it despite it having quite a mixed reception.
On rewatches the flaws do stand out more. This is one of the most frustrating films for me personally because it's not a complete failure of a sequel. There's so much here to love, some really great themes, music, emotion, performances but then…

Margaret Lockwood and James Mason play right mean bastards and I love it. They work so well in these types of roles.
Phyllis Calvert and Stewart Granger also do good enough jobs but their characters just aren't as interesting.
It appears that this film is quite divisive but I for one had a great time throughout.
