    The only way to be happy is to love. Unless you love, your life will flash by.

    The pinnacle of the Terrence Malick/Emmanuel Lubezki visual poetry collaborations. Without a doubt the most beautiful film I have ever seen but also a very difficult watch. For my first time viewing the film I opted to watch the extended version released by The Criterion Collection.

    Letterboxd Season Challenge 2018-19
    Week 2: Australian New Wave Week

    While the French New Wave was mainly focused on realistic portrayals of human relationships the Australain New Wave, in my limited experience, appears to be somewhat fantastical cautionary tales of human nature. While not exactly high art like its French counterparts the Australian films tend to be more fun. Wake in Fright nails the unease that I feel when I travel to a new place where the locals are just a bit too friendly.
