1922 ★★½

In the grand scheme of things, I would characterize 1922 as a middle-tier Stephen King adaptation. This patiently paced ghost story is only one-half-step removed of A Tell-Tale Heart.  But the performances by Thomas Jane and Molly Parker are solid. And the filmmakers exhibit a little more confidence in their intended audience than in the more popular King adaption released by Netflix this season, Gerald’s Game.
