Loneliness. Isolation. Longing. Stagnant yet adrift. Lost In Translation is less of a narrative and more so these pure emotions and then some. It’s hard to say what makes this one of my favorite movies of all time. It might be the feeling of what it’s like to check into a hotel room alone late at night. Or looking around at your environment, no matter how friendly and accommodating it may be, and feeling like you don’t belong. It might…

Seth Rogen as Miracle Max was just a delight, John Malkovich as the “mawidge” priest was perfect, Diego Luna and Pedro Pascal as Inigo Montoya are *chefs kiss*, Paul Rudd doing a spot on Westley, Jason Segal’s flawless Andre impression, and finally a cameo from a certain actor from the original... wearing flip flops with socks.

I found this in my YouTube recommendations and was hooked right when the Sandman himself walked in doing a perfect Peter Falk. I figured…

I’m on a Muppets kick and no one can stop me. Jim Henson rules. Frank Oz is so funny it’s ridiculous. Didn’t realize they were the original Bert and Ernie and all the scenes with Sesame Street stuff was so wholesome. RIP to one of the coolest dudes to ever do the thing.
