Possum ★★½

Possum is a film full of guilt, shame, horror, and tension, yet it never fully enveloped me, which is upsetting
Wildly atmospheric, the reserved performance from Harris and the terrifying score made for some great set pieces, but I felt the film to be lackluster
It simply felt as if it meandered from scene to scene, and the constant repetition didn’t help this feeling
I had an interpretation of what was happening that I enjoyed picking apart as the film progressed, and I enjoyed that more than the actual finale to be honest
I applaud the metaphysical storytelling, and that puppet sure was creepy as hell, but this wasn’t for me
Also, that dude’s fingers were long as shit
