It tackles some heavy themes, but other than that it is decent.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

I really enjoyed Glass Onion, and I think I enjoyed it more than its predecessor. The chemistry that the cast had was exemplary. The only thing that unsettled me was that it was pretty obvious who the murderer was from the beginning. There are a couple of twists that made me go oof, but all in all, it’s a really enjoyable watch.

    Bones and All

Luca wasn’t kidding when he really said bones & all. My only caveat really was some of the subplots that did not come full circle for me. Other than that this is really good acting, writing, score, and direction. Mark Rylance is a character.

  • The Banshees of Inisherin

    The Banshees of Inisherin

This film was a delightfully peculiar Gallic fable that blends humor with sobering realities about human fragility. It raises the question of what a true friendship is.. is it supposed to be everlasting, what if it’s not(?)
Its blend of humor and gore is characteristic of McDonagh, and it displays him at the top of his beautiful eccentric game. Absolutely loved his direction, again.

All performances deserve high praise here. It may be Gleeson’s and Farrell’s best performances that I’ve seen, complemented by the fast rising Barry Keoghan and Kelly Condon.

  • Armageddon Time

    Armageddon Time

Touching… and one of the most thought-provoking ones I’ve seen this year. Solid cast ensemble led by Banks Repeta (rising star) and Anthony Hopkins who both had a very, very touching scene during the second act that I won’t ever forget. Jaylin Webb, Anne and Jeremy did great too.

Toward the end of the film I felt that the overall product didn’t come together as I thought it could. However, I enjoyed the themes that were explored, especially the one…

  • TÁR

Although the “tempo” was slower than what I thought, this was a powerful emotional case of study of the rise and fall that we can all have, this time centered around Lydia Tar. Cate Blanchett deserves all the praise of the world

For what the film intends to portray, it gets the job done. Clooney and Roberts are perfect

    The Good House

A standout performance by Sigourney Weaver, and a subtle, but intense finale was not enough to cover the messy plot that this film had.
