    The Lost World: Jurassic Park

    ★★½

I'm staying with my two nephews at the moment and BOY OH BOY do they love Jurassic Park.... But not the one with Sam Neill, no no no, they love the one where the bus goes off the cliff and Vince Vaughn is just inexplicably there.

So this is the second time I've watched the entire thing in the last few weeks. Learning a lot about dinosaurs in the process.

    To Catch a Thief

    ★★★

    5 Directors X 5 Unseen Films - Round 1

    Director: Alfred Hitchcock
    Director Count: #3 of 5
    Challenge Count: #11 of 25

The entire film relies on the buoyant personalities of Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. Dialogue here wouldn't be as zingy if it were delivered by anyone else; it's a fortuitous pairing that keeps the film from feeling flat and the plot staid.

Film #3 of Scavenger Hunt 14.
    Task #6 - An English-language film with a non-white, female lead

I'm aware this is a bit of a cop-out for the topic and I'm aware that this film is trash.

But friends, this is my trash.

I was around six when this film came out. They probably played it twice a year on Australian TV through the 2000's, because it was ~mindless entertainment~ with a cracking cast of tabloid-fodder gals.

    But as a…
