Ari Aster with no doubt is a remarkable filmmaker . Before I say anything about this film , I have to mention that I am a big fan of his directorial debut Hereditary and I found it a great masterpiece and a piece of art . As for midsommar , it's interesting but not as good as hereditary . Midsommar is complex and it may be difficult to understand what it wants to say instantly. There are two similar scenes involving Florence Pugh crying really loud in an extreme manner that actually helped me to get the main ideas the movie is presenting . One thing about this movie that I liked is the cinematography , it is visually stunning for sure . What bothered me throughout the entire movie is some characters' choices are ridiculously stupid and some incidents occurred needed more explanation to the protagonists than it already provided .
