I personally liked this film much more than I initially thought I would. This was my first Coen brothers film and my expectations of them and their directorial style were not only met, but exceeded. The cinematography, the writing, and the atmosphere really contributed to the film's drifter vibes. Oscar Isaac was absolutely perfect, giving this character authenticity and a nuance that was entrancing. He was so incredible to watch and this role, compared to many others, really proved how versatile he is. Llewyn was a character who just wanted to see win and instead of giving the viewer that "happy ending", the Coen bros. showed us the harsh and unforgiving reality of a struggling musician. Well done.
