Always wanted to become a Director/Screenwriter, but after Letterboxd, just ended up watching the films. C'est tout.
I started this with the idea of passing through this as yet another Korean film, but this brutal, poetic, and beautifully captured film makes me not to rewatch it again.
It draws a line for this century's filmmakers not to make as good as this thriller revenge genre movie. Like when Memories of Murder movie did when it got released or any other similar kinda movie did for that matter.
some people didn't like this one? For the first 20 minutes, I've felt the same. But later I felt this aesthetically crafted. After an hour, I thought It is perfectly shot. After 120 minutes I felt, it is perfectly written and at the end of 180 minutes, the whole movie felt like was too long to establish the situations and characters. After finishing the movie, I thought this is the end? I thought, there was an hour left.
