Asocial. Movie Freak.
In an era ruled by superhero stuff, The Northman is simple yet a true visual poem that is filled with rage, vengeance, gallons upon gallons of gore and lil bit a touch of a fantasy. Robert Eggers never stops surprising us with his signature style. I just wished the writing to be more profound, that's it.
Not a simplistic neither a traditional western but rather a deeply complex character study is depicted, which is commendable. You may find it bit of a failure in terms of plotting but there's a lot happening in between the lines and by emotions if some observant cares to look it being mindful.
I’m so in love with the cinematography, with each single orgasmic frame's been shot here as they looked simply irresistible.
