Anthony Peronto’s review published on Letterboxd:
Miyazaki’s debut film is a ripping yarn that kinda has it all: Thieves, car chases, bumbling cops, a castle and a princess, a woman spy AND a samurai, booby traps, and contemplative moments in nature. Miyazaki wouldn’t be this exuberant and freewheelin’ until Porto Rosso.
