Anthony Peronto’s review published on Letterboxd:
Soderbergh’s cinematic playfulness and Elmore Leonard’s patient storytelling come together and form a crime thriller that at times feels like a dry-run for Ocean’s Eleven but has a central romance that oozes classic Hollywood charm and “hot under the collar” sex appeal. It’s so unlike every other film of it’s genre and it’s hard to nail down why. Maybe it’s the stacked cast? The chemistry between the leads and the great dialogue? Or perhaps it’s the general feeling that everyone is at the top of their game creating something truly special?
