Plays like an only sporadically entertaining mash-up of Weathering with You, Akira, and Mirror's Edge. The parkour scenes and the sheer visual virtuosity (the colours!) do much of the heavy lifting and compensate for a lot in the first half, but ultimately, even they are no match against the derivative plot, resulting in quite a tedious final 30 minutes. And that's not even mentioning the male-wish-fulfillment gender dynamics at play in the central relationship, which makes the Little Mermaid angle far more uncomfortable than it needed to be.
