Alannah Rose’s review published on Letterboxd:
Wasn't planning on seeing this, but I had a free afternoon and the super fancy 3-d version was still playing, so I gave it a chance. The visuals were really funky with the high frame rate, and I'm not sure I liked them, but it was definitely a different/notable experience.
I didn't care much for the film, although it wasn't horrible, but I will say it's the first thing I've not liked MEW in - she was actually not very good, which is a thing I never thought I'd say. The action sequences were pretty amazing, but they did not sustain the entire film.
Certainly not anything I can recommend, even with the crazy visuals/special effects/3-d magic, and it was overly long, but it wasn't a complete waste of time.
