    Zack Snyder's Justice League

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is exactly what it says on the tin. For better or worse (better in my opinion for the most part), it's his vision of the Justice League's first story united as a team. It's almost everything that the theatrical release should have been in the first place, save for the inherent issues shared by both versions, such as the poor set up from previous movies, or the air bubbles the Atlanteans talk in for some reason…

    Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is the ultimate pay off for the 10 years that the MCU has been in existence, and is definitely an ultimate pay off for the story being set up since the first Avengers movie.

Thanos is a formidable foe that has an actual motive that can be understood, something many comic book movies fail to have. He thinks the universe is suffering from the same overpopulation problem his planet Titan had before its eventual fall, so he…

Oof. So much is wrong with this movie that could be easily avoided.

Firstly, Batman. We're given a horribly rushed version of the character that we're supposed to somehow care about and root for. Why would we? We haven't had his history, aside from his parents being killed (which was admittedly done well enough for the purposes of this movie) and where he was during Man of Steel. But the thing that makes this Batman who he is doesn't happen:…

    Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

While I enjoyed parts of this, and I do understand that it's an adaption of a pre-existing comic book story, the Flashpoint Paradox universe doesn't particularly make any lick of sense. Reverse-Flash explains it with a "time boom," but that is a particularly flawed story mechanic. You would create ripples in time by traveling through it, but only from when you show up onward unless you go further back, so the alteration of Batman and Superman's origins don't make sense,…
