This punched me in the gut, spat in my face, stabbed me in the back, broke my heart and sunk it like a battleship, stabbed me in the front, then grabbed me by the collar and called me stupid and indecisive and immature and heartless.
But it also took me by the hand and told me things will probably be okay, that I’m never completely alone; it made me feel younger and older and invulnerable all at the same time; it helped me realize that as small as my problems are in the grand scheme of life and the universe, I’m allowed to feel the way I do about them because they are mine.
Go figure.
