A Boy and His Dog ★★★½

Weird and dark and funny, with a bit of Mad Max and Death Race 2000 vibes, but way more low-key. Obsessed with the 1950s "down under" faux-utopia led by Jason Robards where everyone wants to steal Don Johnson's sperm. Also yes it's misogynistic but actually envisioning a future where left unchecked all men become wannabe rapists is super realistic tbh and I liked that the lone female character is really an opportunistic, femme fatale villain-type. Also the dog is a very good dog.
