Malignant ★★★★½

What an interesting and wild ride from start to finish. It was a welcome return to camp horror and at the hands of Wan it succeeds. This was one that I needed to let settle and have a repeat viewing after knowing the twist. The cast was so game and really helped make this such a fun treat. Not as scary as others in Wan's catalog but his style is what really matters. Incredible framing and use of cinematography and atmosphere to set the tension, I was missing his long form scares that we've come custom to. I just loved this and I think it bodes well for the potential future of camp horror making its comeback.
