Chasing Amy 2: Amy Chases Back
In classic Fincher style, Gone Girl is one of the most deeply unsettling movies I've seen in a long time. While I can't speak for the novel, Flynn's screenplay keeps you on edge, each twist in the plot perfectly timed. Just when I thought the mystery was getting played out, an unnoticed element changed the whole story.
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' score is nearly as crucial to the tension in the movie as Fincher's direction, letting the viewer know we can't trust anyone.
