Well-written and compelling characters, great art style, great music, and no stupid drama or miscommunication. Both sad and wholesome at the same time, which is exactly up my alley. Binged it all last night and can’t wait to see the movie sequel soon.
Oh, to lie down on a ratty yellow couch and stare into Dacre Montgomery's beautiful eyes.
Even though he was the only reason I wanted to watch this movie in the first place (and he was great), I gotta admit I ended up enjoying most of it. I quite liked the actress of Lucy as well. Like, yes, the cheesiness was... there, but. C'mon. It's a rom-com. I'll take it for what it is.
Just saying, but if I were dating Kristen Stewart, I wouldn't fuck her over like this.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed seeing gays do Christmasy things and being happy (well... not that happy, but I'll take what I can get). We honestly deserve more movies that are pure holiday cheesiness. I need that escapism.
Also, can I just have an entire spin-off about John and Abby's chaotic friendship?
