Rachel McAdams is the main attraction here, as the chatty executive producer of a morning show that has tanked prior to her arrival. Harrison Ford is cast as a morning show host who can hardly talk. Candice Bergen is his co-host who tries to remain charming. Patrick Wilson is the love interest Rachel barely has time for. Hint: she's a workaholic.
Amelia Clarke is very appealing as the low class suspect turned informant. Jack Huston plays the goody-two-shoes young FBI agent who tries not to get sucked in by her, but he does get sucked in big time. Quite a fun watch.
Amazing costume drama recalls the reign of Queen Anne of what became Great Britain and Ireland. She reigned only from 1702-1716. I don't know how true this story is and won't recount the ins and outs of the court politics shown in the movie (they are at war with France). Director Yorgos Lanthemos is mainly interested in the sexual politics between Anne (Olivia Colman) and her close confidant Sarah, Lady Marlborough (Rachel Weiss). Another apocalypse sends everyone into bunkers where young Joel Dawson (Dylan O'Brien) is the odd man out after everyone pairs up. He has a former girl friend in another bunker and he decides to try to find her. The monsters in this one are very gruesome and old school. The movie is brightened up by Joel's relationship with a dog he meets along the journey. Enjoyable distraction.
