I guess this is what normal people go through when they think they are crazier than they actually are. This reminded me a bit of Wong Kar Wai's Happy Together in the way that it explored how loneliness can keep people tied together past the point of expiration in a relationship.

A Streetcar Named Desire 1951
I get why this film is highly regarded, but it didn't jive with me very much. I kept going back and forth between being annoyed with Stanley and Blanche at any given moment, and being frustrated at all 3 of them for sticking around in this highly toxic situation. The plot kind of dragged towards the end and I lost patience for any of their baggage.

Videodrome 1983
Parts of this reminded me of American Psycho meets After Hours, but this really kicked the surrealism up a notch. I loved the film editing job here where the viewer was never really sure what was real and what was a hallucination. A lot of this feels very prophetic in the way it predicted the direction media would take in the next 20 years.
