this scared me far more than The Shining. it was cast so unbelievably well; Cruise has both a naive fragility and a raging madman quality that work in perfect flux, and Kidman... jesus, she can kill you with a single look (over those TEENY LIL SPECTACLES!). also, both are ridiculously hot in the scariest possible way. I will be thinking about this film for a long time.
