The four of us watching this collectively screamed at the ‘leap of faith’ scene, aka the single best scene in the history of cinema. Tell me I’m wrong, I dare you.
I don’t know what the secret ingredient of this movie is, but something about it makes me both deeply sad and excited to live.
Some of my favorite quotes to persuade anyone who hasn’t seen it to give it a try:
“I decided to soften the blow with some light arson.”
“I took a photo of us, mid-embrace. When I am old and alone I will remember that I once held something truly beautiful.”
“Dear Mr. Davey, Please could Oliver be excused from class. His tiny heart is broken. Yours sincerely, Lloyd Tate.”
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
amazing how every moment in this movie is simply iconic. drew barrymore’s 10 minute cameo where all she does is run around and get killed? legendary. every line that came out of tatum and stu’s mouths? incredible. billy and stu’s suggestive murder partnership? show stopping. and not to mention literally everything my girl sidney did!
in conclusion this movie invented the genre, everyone else should just stop trying
