Knock at the Cabin 2023
This is probably the most homophobic movie I have ever watched. M. Night Shyamalan appears to have a strange fascination with prehistoric religious beliefs in this film. However, surprisingly, Dave Bautista carries a lot in his role and the suspense built at the beginning is executed very well. As the plot progresses, it becomes more and more of a mess, ultimately leading to a disappointing ending.

Best action movie of 2021?
Of course it's overlong, tries to be overly melodramatic and complex while it isn't. There is a lot of stuff that could've simply be cut out yada yada BUT what the movie delivers in between is pure joy for any action fan and it ends with an outstanding finale that makes up for any flaws this movie may or may not have.

Ghost in the Shell 2017
The real life adaptation of the best anime classic is here: Ghost in the Shell. (It's not a direct adaptation of the anime movie itself though) It takes the concept of the Anime and creates a very own version of it. It works, sometimes.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life 2003
Actually a tad bit better than the first. It's less goofy and makes more sense plotwise. The effects are good, at least decent most of the time, it did age quiet well. It has memorable scenes and knows when to play out Laras superhero silliness in an overall engaging and fun story.
How Lara defended herself against the shark attack, is definitely the scientifically correct way according to the wikihow guide on 'How to Survive a Shark Attack'. So the reality check succeeded
